Experience the magic of Sandbox this summer
Most Sandboxers say they only “got” Sandbox when they attended a retreat. Imagine that, but x10, interacting with members from a variety of hubs in your region and over the span of a few days rather than a weekend, making deep human connections like never before.
This year, we’re experimenting with a new model–regional summits tied together by a common framework. Regional Summits will happen over the course of a few weeks in different locations across the globe: Canada, Europe, Asia, the USA, and Latin America. We’re also designing a virtual experience so that Sandbox members can participate in the magic from wherever they are.
Our theme this year celebrates co-creation and the members who volunteer their hearts, minds, and time to build this community. All of the events below are the result of Sandboxers teaming up to design once-in-a-lifetime experiences for eachother. You will not simply show up at these events but be asked to help curate the experiences and workshops throughout the extended weekend. What does it mean to show up fully? What happens when we, ourselves, become experience designers within the experience? Regional summits will showcase the creativity and talent of everyone of of us and include opportunities for experimentation, growth, self-discovery, and connection through co-creation.
The first event is just over six weeks away and spots are limited – so sign up today! Signing up early also helps the volunteer organizers make plans and cover deposits (some of which they have generously fronted to reserve venues).
Guests are welcome and some events have scholarships/discounted tickets. Reach out to the organizers if the information isn’t listed on the event page.
Come and see what makes Toronto so special. The weekend begins Thursday, July 18th, with walking tours around the city. Thursday evening will see an exclusive experience for Sandboxers at The Funhouse, a 3-floor art maze. The bus will be leaving around noon on Friday, July 19th for the New Earth Estate where we will spend the weekend playing in the forest, schvitzing in a wood-fired sauna + hot tub, wading in the river, eating clean food and doing what Sandbox does best - curating magical connections!
We are excited to present the Sandbox Europe Regional Summit. We will gather Sandboxers in Wakana–a beautiful location and breath of fresh air in the South of Spain. There will be great workshops, relaxation, connecting with nature, delicious organic meals, meeting your old friends (or making new ones) and much more.
We’re sold out! You can add your name to the waitlist by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Join us for four days at an eco-resort one hour outside of Kathmandu. Hiking, meditating, exploring and eating well with Sandbox friends old and new. Breathtaking views (Mt Everest is visible from the site), monastery visits and relaxing village life await us. We’ll stay at the Joysource resort. The first 18 people to secure their spot will get to stay in actual cabins — we can have up to 50 people for the event but the rest will stay in tents (they are very nice and have electricity and mattresses).
Four magical days in which we will experience with the elements. In which magic spells would be casted. In which we will connect and be seen. In which we will dance to the Moon and the Sun as we’ve done before under the Baobabs or in remote islands. Four days of glorious feasts, vulnerable connections, open hearts and alchemy. A noetic experience co-created by all of the participants.
SãO PaulO, Brazil
Adventure with your souls and sandals in Ubatuba, São Paulo, Brazil. You’ll spend four days together in this coastal region, making connections, learning from each other through workshops and activities, and exploring the coast. This Summit is being coorganized by the São Paulo and Buenos Aires hubs.
Tepoztlan, Pueblo Mágico, Mexico
So in Mexican tradition, we are happy to announce (late) that we have a Mexican edition for this decentralized summit! It is going to be small and intimate, in a small town 2 hours from Mexico City. Its architecture, cobblestone streets, the bright colors of the flowers , and the warm weather will make you forget about stress. Tepozteco Mountain is so mystical that it is almost purifying and its summit offers a great view of the small temple built for the god Tepoztecatl. Tepotztlán is full of surprises.
